This past Tuesday, April 6th, I had my first speaking engagement regarding Bound4Life. CSCL welcomed me and allowed me to speak with their middle and high school students. As I said, this was my first speaking engagement and I thought I'd be really nervous. I did a lot or praying before I spoke and I think that really helped me. The students and teachers were very receptive and welcoming. When I was done speaking, a couple other folks stood up and gave their stories. I really liked the way one lady put it – “Don’t not siege because you think someone else already is. As you’ve heard, these two kind people are the only ones doing it right now. Standing on a street corner. On a Saturday.”
The students were very receptive and I hope to see some of them siege with us soon!
